Tipton Care Home Raise £1000 Through Month of Summer FunHC-One’s Waterside Care Home in Tipton recently enjoyed a month of fun as they took part in various activities and embraced the sunshine we have had recently. Residents have enjoyed joining in on summer games in the home’s garden, as well as tending to the garden itself as they took care of the vegetables growing and trimmed the plants.

The home also received exciting visits from some beautiful therapy ponies which Residents thoroughly enjoyed as they were able to see the animals up close and learn more about their wonderful characteristics.

The exciting summer fun concluded with the annual Summer Fayre which was held within the home, with individuals volunteering to assist with the event, and staff members offering their support with the day during their time off work.

In total, the sum of £1105.70 was raised for the Residents’ comfort fund, which will help towards funding any further activities for Residents. All who volunteered for the event will receive a Kindness in Care Award badge, a certificate and a letter from HC-One Founder and Chairman, Dr Chai Patel for the consistent hard-work, commitment and kindness they have shown.

Heidi Scott, Home Manager, commented: “This month has introduced Summer in such a wonderful way, with everyone being so committed to supporting the home and the community have came together wonderfully. We can’t thank everyone enough.”
