Three members of the same family have been lucky to find themselves together under the roof of Kirkwood Court care home in Newcastle.
Julie, who has worked at Kirkwood Court as a house keeper for over five years has found herself reunited with Sheila, Julies mother and Sarah, her daughter.
Last April Sarah followed in her mother’s footsteps and joined the amazing team at Kirkwood Court but as a Care Assistant. The following December, Sheila, Julie’s mother, joined the home as a Resident, so all three of them are back together. “Julie and Sarah are so special and they make my day,” beamed Sheila.
During this challenging time, they are so grateful how they are still able to see each other’s faces and keep in contact where outside of the home they would have found it difficult. Today was a special day as they are usually on opposite shifts but today all 3 of them were in together.
Julie said: “It's so lovely as Sarah no longer lives at home so being able to see her at work and with my mum made my day.”
Kirkwood Court Deputy Manager, Andrea Pringle said: “The team at Kirkwood Court are so pleased that we have three generations of the same family who have chosen HC-One and in particular Kirkwood Court, to work and live.”
