Therapy ponies visit Aberdeen care homeResidents at HC-One’s Hamewith Lodge in Aberdeen welcomed Flicker and Wilson, two therapy Shetland ponies on Wednesday 28th August.

Everyone gathered in the lounge to spend some time with the lovely Shetland ponies, Residents enjoyed stroking Flicker and Wilson as well as taking them on walks through the corridors at Hamewith Lodge. The ponies’ handler told everyone some facts about them, including their diet, behaviour and favourite things.

One Resident commented: “It was lovely to meet Flicker and Wilson, they’re both such beautiful ponies and I hope they will visit again very soon.”

Susan Ashton, Hamewith Lodge home manager said: “Seeing the smiles on Residents faces when therapy animals visit is truly heart-warming, thank you to Flicker, Wilson and their lovely handlers for bringing so much joy to Hamewith Lodge.”
