Residents at HC-One’s The Elms care home in Whittlesey, Peterborough are enjoying welcoming a lovely little visitor every fortnight.
Mojo, a long haired Chihuahua is a special visitor from Pets as Therapy, a national charity who aim to improve health and wellbeing in the community through the visits of trusted volunteers with their behaviourally assessed animals.
Heidi, Mojo’s owner visits the home every two weeks to give Residents time to get to know her perfect pooch. Some Residents enjoy just watching Mojo walk around and where others like to hold her and give her lots of attention.
One Resident, Ivy is always delighted to Mojo and commented that she reminds her of when she had her own little dog in her younger days.
