The sound of music is live once again at Berry Hill ParkLast month saw staff and Residents at Berry Hill Park, a residential, nursing and memory care home in Mansfield, welcome back live entertainment after restrictions eased regarding care home events.

For the first time in a long time, Residents enjoyed a ‘sparkle’ party, where everyone in the Nottinghamshire-based home enjoyed listening to songs and dancing from the 50s and 60s by the artist, Ami Evens.

Taking place in the sunny garden, Residents were singing their hearts out and enjoyed sipping on iced fruit juice made with fresh cranberries and strawberries.

Ami Evens shared her experience of the day and said: “I love being at Berry Hill. All the Residents really enjoyed taking part which was lovely to see.”

Berry Hill Resident, Jean Howe, said: “This was a beautiful way to spend a Sunday afternoon.”

Claire Brown, Wellbeing Coordinator, at Berry Hill Park commented on the day: “It was a truly wonderful day. Residents thoroughly enjoyed the garden sunshine and watching the show from the shade of the garden trees.”

Ideally placed in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, Berry Hill Park is a purpose-built, 66 bed care home, which offers residential, nursing and memory care, for those living with dementia.
