The Snowmen Family of St ChristophersAt St Christophers care home, in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, like many care homes we have lost residents, friends and family over the last few months.

One of the Residents in Bonnington House, a unit at the home, wanted to make a tribute to all the people who have been lost within the last year, so he decided he would like to make a snowman out of boxes, one snowman turned into a family which are named after Residents who have sadly, recently passed away.

Christopher ‘Chris’ Tursler is a valued member of the wellbeing team at the home, and likes to give back to his fellow Residents. He was passionate about this project and with help from the wellbeing Colleague, Sarah Stamford, The Snowman Family and Remembrance Christmas Tree were born.

Chris enjoyed the making of the snowmen and seeing his idea come to life. He remarked, “It’s nice to remember everyone and have something nice to look at.”

“Not only will it help us to remember those who have gone in Bonnington House but across the entire country,” commented Sarah.
