The Polegate Colleagues celebrate DiwaliPolegate care home Colleagues, in East Sussex, have been enjoying a week-long celebration of Diwalli.

The week consisted of Colleagues including Mary, Sarah and Lisa, dressing up in tradition Diwali dress and doing a fashion show for the Residents which was followed by themed arts and crafts.

The home was decorated with lots of banners and pictures completed by the whole home in line with the Diwali theme. 

Residents enjoyed the colours and stitching of the saris as well as food from the region and the bright arts and crafts. 

One Resident said, “They look so beautiful. I enjoyed the arts and crafts and even managed to get some glue and stars on my glasses. it was funny!”

Home Manager, Emma Louise Rich-Spice, commented, “We like to embrace all cultures and celebrations at The Polegate and loved the bright happy celebrations Diwali brought us.”
