The Orchards receive the kindest help from snow heroesThe Assistant Manager at The Orchard put a request on Facebook for help with transport during the ‘Beast from the East’, due to staff who rely on public transport or car sharing not being able to make it into work.

The disturbance caused widespread disruption across the UK and after days of chaos conditions The Orchard were left with an emergency situation where staff were unable to get to and from work.

The response from locals was incredible. Murray Shanks from M.J.S Joinery, set up a group for any volunteers and as a result the home received a call from a couple of very kind individuals. Christopher Haistings and Eerynne Lindsay spent the next two days bringing in dayshift and nightshift workers.

They also had the help from some wonderful locals who came to clear the snow from the paths and fire exits for visitors and so the home could receive deliveries of food supplies and medication.

Thank you to everyone for your help, without your help The Orchard wouldn’t have been able to attend to their Resident’s every needs. The community spirit in Tullibody is outstanding and we appreciate each and every one of you.
