The Lord Mayor of Northallerton attends homes Spring FeteHC-One’s Leeming Garth Care Home in Leeming Bar, North Yorkshire held a Spring Fete on the 24th March 2018 and were thrilled when Mr John Forrest, the Lord Mayor of Northallerton, paid them a special visit.

The Spring Fete was a free event hosted by the home and was open to the general public. An Easter egg was organised in Leeming Garth’s amazing gardens, which the children all loved taking part in. Local entertainer, Steve Mansell, also came along to sing for the visitors and the Residents.

Local companies in the communities also attended to display their fantastic products. The stalls included arts and crafts, Sensky Aromatherapy, handmade cards, cake stall, tombola and a stall dedicated to handmade crafts made by our very own Residents.

Lord Mayor of Northallerton, Mr John Forrest, made a special appearance at Leeming Garth to help them celebrate their Spring Fete. During his visit, he took the opportunity to meet and speak to the Residents and their families, as well as joining in with the activities throughout the home.

Mr Forrest was also treated to a tour of the home, allowing him to see first-hand the high standards of care provided to Residents.

Leeming Garth’s Home Manager, Lorna Burn commented:

“We had a delightful day; it was such an honour to meet the Lord Mayor, Mr John Forrest. All of the money raised from the Spring Fete went to the Resident’s fund to help provide further entertainment and activities for those in our care.”

HC-One’s Managing Director, Stephen Butterworth commented:

“It was a privilege for us to welcome the Lord Mayor of Northallerton to Leeming Garth. On behalf of HC-One, I would like to thank him for visiting Leeming Garth Care Home.”
