The King of Rock and Roll pays a visit to Durham care homeMike Memphis is a regular performer at HC-One’s St Margaret’s Care Home in Durham and is a firm favourite of the Residents.

The lounge was set up in preparation with fairy lights and rock and roll signs to create the perfect atmosphere for when Elvis turned up, dressed in his well-known white flares and glitzy top and of course his belt!

When Elvis took a well-deserved break, one of the Residents started singing, “I’ll never walk alone”, which Elvis then followed on from to everyone swaying their hands and singing along; a great time was had by all.

Mike Memphis is always a huge hit with the Residents and this set was no different. Residents commented:

“This was his best performance yet, my wife and I loved it!”

“Mike Memphis is a real born entertainer, his Elvis character is fantastic.”

Katherine Swainston, Home Manager at St Margaret’s, commented:

“It’s so lovely to see all of the Residents, family members, friends and staff dancing and singing along together.”
