Resident at The Beeches Care Home, June Guthrie, has been presented with a Kindness in Care Award this week.
June has only been with at the home for about a month and is receiving memory care, but she believes she is still at work, formerly a nursing auxiliary at DRI, and has kindly been supporting some of our other Residents with day to day life.
She assists one lady at mealtimes and has sat and given support and reassurance to others when they have been anxious and distressed.
The home recognised that she was still in nursing auxiliary mode and was giving kind care to the Residents in ‘her’ care so nominated her for a Kindness In Care Award.
June received a lovely certificate signed by Chai Patel and Justin Hutchens, a Kindness in Care badge and a letter from Chai, along with some flowers from Care Colleagues and a HC-One t-shirt.
June was thrilled!
