HC-One’s Thamesfield care home in Henley-on-Thames celebrated Thanksgiving on Thursday 22nd November.
Thanksgiving Day is a national holiday typically celebrated in Canada, the United States, some of the Caribbean islands, and Liberia. It began as a day of giving thanks for the blessing of the harvest and of the preceding year.
To celebrate, Residents at Thamesfield were treated to the Thanksgiving-themed lunch which included a traditional turkey main course with all of the trimmings followed by a pumpkin tiramisu for dessert.
The meal was enjoyed by all, so much so, that Residents asked if they could thank the Chefs personally for their beautifully prepared food. The team were thrilled that the meal was such a success and grateful that Residents wanted to thank them in person.
