Dougie, a Resident at HC-One’s Himley Mill care home in Dudley is using technology to stay connected with his beloved wife and daughter during national restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
With national restrictions inhibiting people from spending time with their loved ones, Dougie decided to use technology to help him feel close to his wife and daughter. Dougie uses Skype to regularly have conversations with his loved ones, keeping them updated on his daily activities and finding out what they are doing in their spare time.
Himley Mill Home Manager, Kelly Smith said: “It’s amazing that technology enables people to stay connected during these difficult times, I am so pleased that Dougie is embracing modern communication methods so that he can feel close to his loved ones.”
