Maisie, a Resident at HC-One’s Victoria Gardens care home in Coventry uses technology to stay in touch with her beloved daughter.
With almost 4000 miles separating Maisie and her daughter Brenda, she would often tell staff how much she missed seeing her and speaking to her on a regular basis.
Now Maisie gets to see her daughter every fortnight via a video call through Skype, sometimes her daughter-in-law Gill visits to join in the calls with Brenda.
Maisie looks forward to her regular conversations with Brenda on Skype, commenting that she feels closer to her and loves to see her face even when she knows she’s far away.
