At residential memory care home,
Yew Trees, in Dukinfield, a number of trips for Residents have taken place throughout September.
A few barge trips had been booked through Tameside Canal Boat Trust which is a registered charity to take the Residents out after a long 18 months being unable to do so due to national restrictions.
All the Residents, including Frank Whybrow, Jim Middleton and Ian Pownall, had a wonderful time.
Colleagues took drinks, snacks and a karaoke machine which everyone had a sing-along to, it was a great atmosphere.
One of the Residents commented, “That was great! What an amazing atmosphere!”
Holly Smith, Wellbeing Coordinator, commented, “All I can describe from this day is that it was brilliant, comical and just absolutely great!”
