HC-One’s Sandon House Care Home in Mossley, Tameside is celebrating having received a glowing report from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in all areas.
The team at Sandon House were delighted to receive an impressive CQC report that rated the home as ‘Good’ in all areas, demonstrating that the home is providing high standards of care for Residents and is ‘Caring’, ‘Safe’, ‘Effective’, ‘Responsive’ and ‘Well-Led’.
The inspectors were full of praise for colleagues at Sandon House, with their report noting “everyone we spoke with told us staff at Sandon House were caring.” This was echoed by visitors to the home, with one saying "[they are] kind... but not patronising. When I see a member of staff, I can tell that they are listening and paying real attention, they can be fun and light too."
Comments from colleagues at the home were equally glowing, including remarks such as "I love my job", "I want to make a difference", "I find it very rewarding" and "I am proud of the care we provide." One member of the team said "you are here to make sure people are happy. I don't see it as just a job."
