Tai Chi leaves Residents feeling relaxed and refreshedResidents from HC-One’s Fleming Court Care Home in Jesmond tried out a new hobby last week, Tai Chi.

Mary Smith, Vera Turner, Abel Rees, Meg Porteous, Eve Taylor, Beryl Hewitt, Joyce Wyllie, Jean Ward, Vigdis Head and June Harrison all took part and all of them said they felt totally relaxed during and after the class.

Everyone enjoyed the music that the instructor, Ilona Turner, played and they really enjoyed the exercises, saying that they felt really refreshed and energised.

Eve commented:

“We would love more of these classes.”

Fleming Court’s Home Manager, Julie Barron commented:

“This spiritual session was really well received by the Residents; they thoroughly enjoyed every aspect and were left feeling revived and more energetic.”
