Table cricket is a success at Grimsby care homeResidents at Clarendon Hall care home in Grimsby got into the competitive spirit as they tried their hand at a game of table cricket.

The innovative take on cricket includes a ramp to launch the ball and a mini cricket bat, which Residents enjoyed using as they took it in turns to bowl and strike the ball.

With no requirement to run and catch the ball, all Residents who wanted to were able to take part and thoroughly enjoyed the new game.

Freda, a Resident at Clarendon Hall, said: “Well, I’ve never seen a game of cricket quite like this before!”

Jean, a Relative, added: “I wish they could have played this version of cricket at school instead!”
