Sweet treats are a success at Stalybridge care homeResidents at Millbrook care home in Stalybridge, Tameside enjoyed an afternoon of cooking up some delicious sweet treats.

After throwing around suggestions and recipes for what they might bake, chocolate brownies was decided as the overall winner for the baking session.

Once the ingredients were poured out and weighed, Residents helped to mix them together and pour them into the tin, ready to be put into the oven.

To give the sweet treats an extra kick, Residents decided to add peanut butter to the mix, which made the brownies smell even more delicious.

Andrew Bradley, Home Manager at Millbrook, said: “Baking is one of the most popular sessions at Millbrook, as it gives all Residents the opportunity to get involved. The brownies looked absolutely amazing and went down a treat at our afternoon tea this week.”
