Swansea care home marks Remembrance Day with beautiful local serviceResidents at St Martin’s Court care home in Morriston, Swansea took part in a beautiful service as part of Remembrance Day.

Mr Cook, who at 102 years old is a proud World War 2 veteran, attended the service at Morriston Park, proudly wearing his war medals and uniform.

Everyone attending the service took a two minute silence to pay their respects to those affected by the war, with many people saying a prayer and admiring the poppy display.

Mr Cook was pleased to have attended the service, which he visits every year.

Joanne Lacy, Home Manager at St Martin’s Court, said: “Remembrance Day is such an important day in our events calendar, so it was an honour for us to accompany Mr Cook to the local service to pay our respects and see the poppy display.”
