Residents at HC One’s Stoneyford care home had their day brightened up by some letters from local school children today.
Quarry Dale school, local to Stoneyford, made a very kind gesture today by dropping off cards and beautiful pictures that the students had created.
The school children and teachers really wanted to do something that would brighten up the spirit of the Residents and staff at the home during this unsettling time.
Keith, one of the Residents at the home commented ‘It’s nice to know we are thought of.’
The Residents were overwhelmed by this act of kindness, it was a real pleasure for them to open up the letters and read the caring words from the children.
One of the Colleagues at the home said ‘Kindness at times like this is essential to make our Residents feel loved.’
