Sussex home jumps on board with ‘Friendship Day’Today was Friendship day at Grosvenor Park care home, in Sussex. A day for Residents to spend time with those whom they have built relationships up with at the home, to share stories, play games and just have a little natter with those close to them.

The activity associated with this special day was cardmaking, and Residents Eileen, Pam, Liz, Helen, Jean, Margaret, Sheila and Moo really enjoyed working together to make beautiful creations for their loved ones, some of the residents even decorated their cards with photos of themselves.

Everyone wrote lovely messages in the cards to send to friends and family. Some Residents even made a card for the carers which was so lovely and the staff were very grateful.

Home Manager, Jackie O'Callaghan, said, “This activity allows everyone to see that there are loved ones all around, whether that be fellow Residents, family and friends or staff at the home. Everyone is cared for and that’s why the activity brings out such positivity”.
