Surprise flower delivery delights Colleagues and Residents at Durham care homeColleagues at HC-One’s Melbury Court care home in County Durham recently received a surprise delivery, which really boosted the morale of everyone in the home.

On the morning of Monday 7th December, Colleagues at Melbury Court received a wonderful Christmas flower arrangement that was sent from the Churches of St Cuthbert’s and St Aidan's. The very kind people at the Churches wanted to wish everyone in the home comfort and joy and to thank them all for everything they have done for the community.

During the coronavirus pandemic, the local community around Melbury really came together to help the home and with a local housebuilder recently donating food for an afternoon tea, the homes link with the community is stronger than ever.

Residents loved the flower arrangement, they were so happy to know people are thinking of them this Christmas and cannot wait to celebrate the festivities with the beautiful flowers taking centre stage in the homes display.

Melbury Court care home Hazel Southern said: “What a kind donation, it was a boost for the wellbeing of our Residents.”
