HC-One’s Holme Lea care home in Stalybridge visited the seaside town of Blackpool for a summer day at the beach.
The sun was shining as everyone enjoyed a stroll along the promenade, after a relaxing morning the group headed for a traditional seaside lunch of fish and chips, where Residents opted to eat inside to avoid the seagulls.
Everyone enjoyed browsing through the old amusements, with some even trying their luck at the few machines. Before heading back to Holme Lea, Residents stopped for a quick tipple in a local pub.
A great time was had by all, with Residents commenting that it was the best day out they have had in a long time.
Holme Lea Home Manager, Craig Hardman said:
“The team at Holme Lea have worked hard all year to raise the funds for the day out so it was amazing for us all to see how excited the Residents were before and after the trip.”
