Sunderland care home visits Durham CathedralResidents from HC-One’s Ashton Grange care home in Sunderland visited Durham Cathedral for the day.

The group headed to Durham on an Oomph Outing trip, one Resident, Vera has always loved visiting historical sites, but due to her limited mobility, she had not visited any historical places in a while. Vera and her fellow Residents were delighted when they arrived at the Cathedral, everyone admired the wonderful architecture. 

When they went into the Cathedral, Vera asked to light a candle for loved ones who have passed. The group sat in the choir seats and sang some hymns together before visiting the war memorial and St Bedes tomb. 

Everyone headed to the Cathedral café for lunch before going back to Ashton Grange. A great time was had by all, Vera commented that she was really grateful to visit Durham Cathedral again.
