Residents and members of the team at HC-One’s Ashton Grange care home in Sunderland wore red and white and supported their local football team, Sunderland AFC.
Sunderland played against Portsmouth at Wembley Stadium in the Checkatrade Cup Final, a lot of Residents and members of the care team at Ashton Grange are big football fans and wanted to bring Wembley alive in the home.
Everyone watched and cheered as the match started, Residents commented on how amazing the stadium looked and how they hoped Sunderland would bring home the trophy. The game ended in a draw which resulted in penalties, unfortunately Sunderland were beaten at the final hurdle but everyone still thought it was a great game and day.
