Sun and sea at Skegness for Braunstone care home ResidentsResidents from HC-One’s Grey Ferrers care home in Braunstone visited the seaside town of Skegness for a summer day at the beach.

The sun was shining as everyone enjoyed a stroll along the seafront, with some choosing to cool off with a paddle in the sea, after a relaxing morning the group headed for a traditional seaside lunch of fish and chips followed by an ice cream.

Some Residents decided to visit the old-fashioned Bingo hall, which paid off for a lucky few who came away winners. Others browsed the shops and amusements throughout the afternoon before heading back to Grey Ferrers.

A great time was had by all, with Residents commenting that they would love to stay for the whole week. The trip was enjoyed so much that Grey Ferrers is already organising their second trip of the year.

Grey Ferrers Home Manager, Mitchell Haines said:

“Thank you to the kind members of our team for volunteering their time to make the day as wonderful as possible for our Residents.

“I would also like to thank fellow HC-One homes, Cedar Court and Magna for allowing us to use their minibuses so that all Residents were able to experience the fun-filled day out.”
