Sun, sea and sand at Weston-super-MareResidents from HC-One’s Roxburgh House care home Cradley Heath visited Weston-super-Mare to enjoy a sunny day at the seaside.

Once they arrived everyone enjoyed a leisurely stroll along the promenade, working up an appetite for a lovely fish and chip lunch. The arcades were the next stop where Residents played all of the different machines trying to win the best prizes.

The fresh sea air was a welcome change for Residents, who loved watching the world go by in the sunshine. A variety of treats were sampled including prawns, doughnuts and ice cream.

Everyone was having such a good time that they asked to stay longer, the initial plan was to leave at 3 pm but the fun did not stop until 6 pm. Residents had a great day and some were having so much fun they asked to sleep on the beach.

Roxburgh House Home Manager, Julie Jones said:

“It was lovely to hear about the amazing day that our Residents had at the seaside, day trips like this one really do have such a positive impact on people’s wellbeing.

“Our Wellbeing Co-ordinator works hard to help create more happy memories for Residents and is already planning more exciting days out.”
