Summer fete celebrations raise £1000 at Priory MewsResidents at HC-One’s Priory Mews care home recently enjoyed a summer fete in the home’s garden.

The fete was held to fundraise for the Residents’ comfort fund, and attracted many visitors from the local community as well as Relatives and friends. Stalls were put in place which included games such as hook-a-duck, a tombola and raffle, as well as various food stalls.

Live entertainment was provided by rock and roll singer Tim Arthur, and everyone enjoyed singing and dancing along to his music whilst taking part in the activities on offer. Relatives volunteered to assist with the day as they helped with decorations and hosting the event with Colleagues.

The event raised just under £1000 and this will go towards the Residents’ comfort funds throughout the home.

Rose Akem, Home Manager, commented: “its been a wonderful day filled with excitement, Residents have really enjoyed themselves.”
