Summer fete celebrations at The CambridgeHC-One’s The Cambridge care home opened its doors to hold the annual summer fete recently.

The event was open to the local community as the home was hoping to fundraise for the Residents’ comfort fund. Live music entertainment was provided by Sean Moyses, as stalls were in place with local businesses – including the Body Shop and Forever Living, as well as local arts and crafts companies.

A bouncy castle was also put up for children to enjoy alongside face painting, whilst a BBQ and various snacks and refreshments were available for all to enjoy.  A raffle was then held to involve everyone who attended the summer fete, with various prizes to be won.

The event raised a wonderful £600, and Residents thoroughly enjoyed themselves as they spent the day with Relatives, friends and members of the local community.

Sham Deonarine, Home Manager, commented: "The day has been wonderful. It is amazing how kind the community has been in joining us today and how well we have worked as a team to make this day such a success.”
