Residents and Relatives at Highclere Care Home recently enjoyed celebrating a Summer Fete.
Stalls and tombolas were included, including a book stall, whilst live music entertainment was provided for all to enjoy, a raffle was also held with prizes to be won. Children especially enjoyed the hook a duck game, as well as cooling off in the paddling pool on the very sunny day.
Refreshments were also provided, including a cream tea and hot drinks, as well as other home made sweet treats.
They were also given paintings made by children from a local school and nursery, which were proudly displayed throughout the home.
Funds from the fete were raised to go towards the Resident Comfort Fund, with a total of £193 being raised.
Adriana Rusu, Home Manager, commented: “It was a wonderful afternoon enjoyed by all in the sunshine. It was lovely to see everyone sitting outside and having a great time.”
