Summer Fair fun at Sunnyside
Sunnyside Care Home celebrated their Annual Summer Fayre on Saturday 11th August.

Residents, Relatives, Friends and Colleagues came together to enjoy the day.

There were tombola stalls for both the adults & the children, a bouncy castle, Hook a Duck, entertainment provided by Glenn’s Girls, games, a BBQ with lots of tasty food, and a cake stall, all topped off with a visit from a Shetland pony called Lego who was dressed as a unicorn.

The day was attended by people from within the local community and supported massively by our Residents family members. It was a great turn out and it helped to make the day a huge success.

Sunnyside raised a whopping £500 at the fayre and this will go into the Residents Comfort fund which contributes to more fun days out and activities for Residents.

 Katie Cheetham, a visitor, commented:

"I’ve had a lovely day at Sunnyside! Kelly does a fabulous job at bringing the Residents & the community together at events such as todays Summer Fayre.

Everyone from my 3year old right to the Residents were entertained all day. It was a great day all round!"

Home Manager,Kathleen Cox, commented:

"The day was a roaring success, with a great turnout, and an amazing amount of money raised! It was nice to see our Residents and people from our community socialising together. We are already looking into how we can spend this money on our Residents and look forward to our next event."
