HC-One’s Greengables Care Home recently opened its doors to the local community as the home held a Summer Fair.
Residents and their Relatives enjoyed interacting with members of the community as everyone enjoyed the activities taking place at the fair which included a raffle and tombola, as well as various games such as ‘Hook a duck’ and lucky dips with exciting prizes.
Entertainment was also provided by Susan Walker, a clarinet and saxophone player, which everyone thoroughly enjoyed listening to. Local school children attended the home to enjoy the event, whilst other local children volunteered to help with various stalls and activities, and Police Community Support Officers attended the event to assist with the day.
Anne Winstanley, Home Manager, commented: “A lovely day was had by all who attended. It’s wonderful to see the community come together for events like this one.”
