For Bell Green’s nursing memory care home,
Brandon House, it has been a week of celebrating as one Colleague picked up an award at the Great British Care Awards 2020.
On Tuesday 27th July Colleagues from the home attended the awards, proudly representing their two nominations; cook, Owen Williams and wellbeing Colleague Simon Day.
Owen Williams won the ‘Care Home Cook/Chef Award’ for the West Midlands and has now reached the National Finals in September!
Owen, pictured, was shocked and nearly fell off his chair!
Upon hearing the news, one of the home’s Residents commented, “Owen is a lovely man and we enjoy his cooking. Well Done Owen!”
Sheryl Davis, Care Home Manager, remarked, “It was great to see Owen’s win this award, he has just celebrated his 10 service also. He is very committed to Brandon House and the Residents love his cooking because he gives them what they want, when they want it.”
