Residents from St Margaret’s decided they wanted to help Stray Aid, a local charity that’s mission is to rescue, re-unite or rehome the lost, abused, abandoned or unwanted dogs found on the streets in the North East of England.
Donations of pet food and accessories were collected from Residents and staff to give to the charity. Home Manager, Sandra Darroch, was really proud of everyone who contributed and thanked everyone for their generosity.
Stray Aid paid a visit to St Margaret’s to collect the donation and brought Toffee with them, a recently rescued dog.
All of the Residents loved meeting Toffee and enjoyed giving him plenty of cuddles.
Jacqui Savage, Wellbeing Co-Ordinator at St Margaret’s, commented:
“Stray Aid is such a worthwhile cause and I’m happy that our Residents chose to support them. They really enjoyed meeting Toffee the rescue dog; he brought big smiles to their faces.”
