Stop the clock at Durham care homeHC-One’s Melbury Court care home in Durham holds a daily ‘stop the clock’ activity where members of the team spend quality time with Residents and take part in activities.

On Thursday 15th August, the team got involved in the arts and crafts session with Residents which included pebble painting, everyone chatted as they created beautiful stone art, some resembling animals like a lady bird while others opted for a simple but pretty colour pattern.

Head Housekeeper, Michelle said: “It was lovely getting the whole team involved with the Residents arts and crafts activity, there’s nothing more enjoyable in the day then getting the chance to have some fun and laugh with Residents.”

Melbury Court Home Manager, Nicola Coulson said: “Stop the Clock is now an integral part of daily life at Melbury Court, it helps Residents and team members form special bonds which helps create a real home-from-home environment.”
