Residents at HC-One’s Appleton Manor care home recently embraced the sunshine as they enjoyed a day out to local Etherow Country Park.
As the sun was shining, Residents enjoyed being able to feed the ducks and taking a walk around the park grounds, admiring the birds and other animals in the nature reserve before retreating for a delicious slice of cake and a refreshing drink in the park’s café.
During their visit to the park, Residents were excited to see that the local fire brigade were also there training, and they were able to speak to the firemen before leaving the park, which was a nice surprise.
Amy Robertson, Home Manager, commented: “The Residents have really enjoyed themselves this afternoon as they visited the park. The sunshine helped to make the day even better.”
