Stirlingshire Residents discuss love while crafting Valentine’s Day cardsResidents at HC-One’s Kinnaird Manor have enjoyed talking about their romantic lives this week as they make very special Valentine’s Day cards at HC-One’s Kinnaird Manor care home in Falkirk.

Residents wrote a short poem and beautifully decorated small wooden hearts to fix to the cards. Once completed the cards will be sent off to their intended recipient, ready to open on Valentine’s Day this weekend.

Betty Watson, a Resident at the home, commented: “I think I’ll send mine to my granddaughter.”

As they perfected their cards, Residents discussed all things romantic. They chatted about their first loves, first dates and what their idea of a perfect date is.

Resident, Helen Neilson, said: “It would be nice to get all dressed up and go for a fancy meal.”

Many Residents agreed with Helen’s idea that going for a posh dinner would be their perfect date. However, other popular suggestions included going to the cinema and taking a romantic stroll.

Residents simply cannot wait for their partners and families to received their beautiful cards, especially since they are unable to see them as much as they would like at the moment.

Kinnaird Manor Home Manager, Donna Stewart, commented: “This is an amazing idea to let Relatives know that their loved one is thinking of them.”
