Over the Christmas period Residents at HC-One’s Fairview care home in Bannockburn received lovely letters from children in France. Now the Residents are writing back to their new pen pals.
Residents received Christmas cards and postcards from the children who wrote to them as part of their school English studies.
They wrote about their life, families, school and hobbies to put their excellent English to use while cheering up care home Residents around Christmas time.
One Resident commented: “How nice it was to receive a letter. I hope all the students had a nice Christmas.”
Now the Residents are writing back to their new friends to say their thanks and to tell them a little bit about themselves in return.
They hope this will be the beginning of a new overseas friendship and are looking forward to hearing back from the children over the coming weeks.
