Stirling care home Residents celebrate Captain Tom’s 100th birthdayResidents at HC-One’s Forthbank care home in Stirling have been celebrating the 100th birthday of fundraiser and army veteran, Captain Tom Moore.

Residents celebrated by singing war time songs, capturing that wartime spirit that Tom has shown us all and with a toast to mark the occasion before topping it all off with a rendition of Happy Birthday.

Captain Tom Moore started with the aim to raise £500,000 for the charity, but after going viral and successfully completing 100 lengths of his garden, he has now raised over £30,000,000.

One Forthbank care home Resident said: “What a lovely party for a true war hero, he should be so proud of what he has achieved and for what he has raised for the NHS.”

Residents enjoyed drinks throughout the evening and were surprised by staff who gave them little Union Jack flags to wave as they sang old British classics.

Forthbank Home Manager Yvonne Graham said: “Everyone has had a lovely time celebrating this very special occasion.”
