MP, Stephen Kerr, Lord-Lieutenant, Alan Simpson and Cllr Douglas Dodds, joined Forthbank care home, on Drip Road in Kildean – part of HC-One, the kind care company – to celebrate the seventh annual Care Home Open Day.
Care Home Open Day is a national event that gives local people the opportunity to learn more about the care services at the heart of their community.
This year’s theme was ‘Celebrating Art in Care,’ with HC-One launching a national Art Competition to encourage, Residents, their loved ones, colleagues and neighbours to unleash their creativity and design their own masterpiece.
The special guests cut the ribbon to celebrate Forthbank’s recent refurbishment and judged the home’s Art Competition, as well as spending time chatting with Residents and other visitors.
Yvonne Graham, Home Manager at Forthbank said: “Thank you to everyone who came to Forthbank to celebrate Care Home Open Day, it was lovely to welcome both new and familiar faces and create new memories as a community.”
