Residents have had a fun afternoon singing and chatting about London at HC-One’s Woodlands View care home in Hertfordshire.
Everyone joined in with a sing-a-long as Residents suggested their favourite songs about the city, including “Maybe It’s Because I’m a Londoner”, requested by three different Residents.
After a nice sing-a-long, Residents took part in a quiz where they had to guess the cockney rhyming slang, followed by a slice of cake and a cup of Rosie Lee – a cup of tea.
One Resident commented: “It’s good to talk about these things. I remember going shopping in Oxford Street.”
Residents swapped stories of their time living in London or their trips to the beloved city, ranging from during World War 2 until recent years.
Woodlands View Home Manager, Deby O’Hare, said: “It was nice to see the Residents having a good chat, sing song and telling us what they remember about London.”
