Residents at HC-One’s Woodlands View care home enjoyed an afternoon of celebration as the home held an indoor ‘street party’ for all to join in with.
Games were provided with a wartime theme, including a VE day quiz which everyone enjoyed getting involved with, and many a song was sung by Residents as they reminisced of their favourite memories of the day 75 years ago.
The home’s catering department also provided a delicious barbecue and buffet lunch accompanied with some chilled refreshments for all to enjoy as they spoke about the parties they enjoyed for VE day itself.
One Resident remarked: “It has been such a lovely day, it’s wonderful to have a party like this one and the songs have brought back such great memories.”
