A Resident at HC-One’s Stoneleigh care home in Stanley received a lovely surprise gifts from a Colleagues this Valentine’s Day.
The conversation in the home was about Valentine's Day. One of Stoneleigh ladies, Ann Todd, was telling the staff that she had never ever had a Valentine's Card.
So, one of the homes Senior Carers, Deborah Barker, decided to get one for her. She kept it anonymous with the verse ‘Roses are red, Violets are blue, Sugar is sweet and so are you, From?’
Ann was very puzzled but delighted. When she found out that it had come from Deborah she was over the moon and could not get over the thoughtfulness and kindness of the gesture.
“Fancy getting a Valentine's card at my age”, joked Ann.
