Holme lea care home, in Stalybridge, Tameside, has recently recruited a new Wellbeing Coordinator, and what a first few weeks they have had with all sorts of wonderful activities, which Residents have loved to get involved with.
Connor, has got stuck into an enhanced wellbeing and activities programme which has taken full advantage of everything Holme Lea has to offer, including having the garden area cleaned and ready for outdoor activities, which has been utilised to the full! Lots of Residents have been out in the garden and taking part in activities with Connor.
One of the Residents commented, “I’ve loved it, nice to now sit in the garden and enjoy games.”
Another of the Residents at the 48-bed residential and residential dementia care home, added, “I’m having fun, it’s good to have someone to entertain us and keep us busy.”
The home has also set up a regular arts and crafts club, which includes painting and drawing.
Craig Hardman, Home Manager at Holme Lea, remarked, “It’s a pleasure to welcome Connor to the Holme Lea team, and the Residents are enjoying what Connor has to offer. It is just nice to see everyone doing something they enjoy, whether that be anything from painting to outdoor games.”
