Stalybridge care home enjoy Bonfire night activityColleagues and Residents at HC One’s Millbrook care home enjoyed making chocolate apples for bonfire night.

Today Colleagues at the Stalybridge care home were joined by three Residents in making chocolate covered apples.

It was a nice and easy activity but lots of fun. There was plenty of melted chocolate top dip the slices of apple on lolly sticks into, and then decorate.

The staff melted the chocolate and the Residents dipped the apples into the chocolate and then decorated with 100’s and 1000’s and edible stars.

Resident Mary said “I love working with chocolate.”

The chocolate covered apples were served in the afternoon after they had set. The remainder of the chocolate that was left was made into delicious homemade hot chocolate drinks that were served after the activity.

The home manager said “We try and do some form of food activity twice a month just to add to our genera menu within the Millbrook.”
