Residents at
Stadium Court care home in Stoke-on-Trent, which provides residential, nursing and dementia, didn’t let the rain stop them celebrating the Queens Jubilee.
On Tuesday 31
st of May, Residents were thrilled to be celebrating such a special occasion, one that will go down in British history.
Due to the good ole British weather the street party that was planned was moved inside, but this did not stop any of the Residents having such a great day.
Relatives and members of the local community were welcomed into the home to celebrate alongside the Residents. It was a great chance to meet locals from the community and for such a fantastic occasion too!
The kitchen staff prepared a very traditional English buffet for everyone to enjoy. It was filled with many classic dishes that went down a treat.
A singer was invited to perform, they got everyone up dancing and waving their Union Jack flags in the air.
Everyone has a wonderful time and happy tears were shed as it was emotional reunion for the lovely Residents, Relatives, and staff.
Nellie May, Care Home Manager, remarked, “Such a lovely day had from everyone here at Stadium Court. We all love a party.”
