HC-One’s Wyndford Locks care home in Glasgow celebrated the patron saint of Ireland on Sunday 17th March.
St Patrick’s Day marks the passing of St Patrick, a 4th century priest who took Christianity to Ireland. Every year thousands of people worldwide celebrate the day by wearing green and enjoying an Irish tipple.
Residents gathered for an Irish-themed afternoon tea followed by live entertainment from Liz Clarke. Everyone had a great time, singing, clapping and dancing along, some even attempted the Irish jig which brought smiles to people’s faces.
Wyndford Locks Home Manager, Karen Watson said:
“What a wonderful day, thank you to my Colleagues for organising such an entertaining and memorable afternoon for Residents and their loved ones.”
