St Patrick’s Day at Aston HouseOn Sunday the 17th of March, Residents and Colleagues at Aston House Care Home celebrated St Patrick’s Day in style!

Residents enjoyed an afternoon of tasty treats as they enjoyed cheese and crackers along with a nip of Irish cream.

Residents Shanti and Marjorie really got into the spirit of the day as they donned some Irish fancy dress as they helped with the cheese and cracker trolley.

Wellbeing Coordinator Laura commented:

“It might be just Irish luck or coincidence that St Patrick’s Day happened to fall into Nutrition and Hydration Week and it is great way to combine the two and mark both occasions with a healthy treat! We constantly look for ways to improve in all aspects of care across all departments, and I must say themed tea parties as well as varied snack afternoons are turning out to a hit here for all!

We all believe here that healthy diet not only changes one’s body but also mood, attitude and mind!  So all that said it has been a very tasty march so far with Pancake Day, St Patricks Day and still Mother’s Day to look forward to!”
