Residents and members of the care team at HC-One’s Eastbourne House in Whitley Bay, Tyne and Wear celebrated the patron saint of Ireland on Sunday 17th March.
St Patrick’s Day marks the passing of St Patrick, a 4th century priest who took Christianity to Ireland. Every year thousands of people worldwide celebrate the day by wearing green and enjoying an Irish tipple.
To celebrate, Residents gathered to take part in a variety activities, including, a millionaire game show, shamrock scavenger hunt and crafts. Afterwards, everyone enjoyed a St Patrick’s Day themed afternoon tea, followed by a church service and quiz night.
A great time was had by all, with Residents commenting that it was a fun-filled day from start to finish and everyone was in good spirits.
